ALDERSGATE 275
World Methodist Evangelism invites you to join the pilgrimage May 22-30, 2013 to celebrate the 275th Anniversary of Aldersgate in London, England. The experience of Aldersgate, May 24, 1738 shaped the life of John Wesley. He wrote in his journal, “…I felt my Heart strangely warmed. I felt I did trust in Christ, Christ alone for salvation.” A movement of renewal and vision began that is continuing today to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ Jesus, “Proclaim the good news to the whole creation.” On May 24, join with the “people called Methodist” to follow the steps of Wesley to Aldersgate. For nine days experience the key places of the Wesleyan revival, Wesley’s Chapel, Bristol, The Pill, Hanham Mount, Oxford. We invite you to join with us in experiencing anew the heart of the Wesleyan/Methodist Movement today.

World Methodist Council Declares Evangelism Emphasis Priority!
At its quintennial conference in Seoul, Korea, the World Methodist Council set evangelism as its worldwide priority.  This followed dynamic reports on the work of the World Evangelism Division of the Council by Dr. Maxie Dunnam, Chairperson, Dr. Winston Worrell, Director of the World Methodist Evangelism Institute, and Dr. H. FAITH-SHARING INITIATIVE:
RESOURCES AND TRAINING

A key ministry of World Methodist Evangelism is to multiply the faith-sharers of the gospel who have confidence and competence to witness to the name of Jesus Christ. The Faith-Sharing Initiative was launched at the World Methodist Conference in 1996 in Rio with the release of the Faith-Sharing New Testament.  It is a primary ministry of World Methodist Evangelism and thousands of Methodist have been trained in the “graceful pattern” of sharing faith the Wesleyan way.  The key resources are the Faith-Sharing New Testament and Faith Sharing textbook.  The most recent release of these key resources are in the Spanish language. more…
